World Leader based in Dublin, Ireland in the design business and due to continued growth now require we are looking for: 3D Design Engineer Purpose: The core purpose of the designer is to ensure that all effort and focus is placed on ensuring that all inputs and outputs (designs, other relevant docs) are completed in line with company project plans and timelines, to quality specifications and processes and most importantly as to customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Design of tooling, components and blister packs using Solid Works design package. • Following instruction, design engineering projects, in line with customer requirements. • Ensure all work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner. • Effective management of the customer by liaising in an appropriate fashion on matters such as technical design issues or queries. • Lead the resolution of issues, or escalate where appropriate. • Interact and engage with other departments e.g. production, quality as part of the design process and specifically on larger or more complex projects. • Provide timely and accurate communication to both the team leader or design manager, as appropriate. • Support other project teams by sharing best practice, skills experience and previous learning's. Skills / Qualifications required: S Minimum 3 years Solid Works design experience S Customer focused. S Ability to liaise with customers. S Ability to plan and organize. S Ability to work to tight deadlines. S Attention to detail and ability to focus on complex tasks. S Ability to evaluate in a structured fashion. s Ability to generate new ideas. S Ability to problem solve.. S Continuous improvement. S Flexible and adaptable. S Ability to travel. General Highly developed PC and systems capability with an excellent knowledge of Solid Works or a similar 3D design package. University degree in mechanical engineering or similar Experience in either Tool-making or machining would be an advantage Excellent communications skills capable of dealing with people/customers from all levels of the organization Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work to tight timeline.
